
Amanda Pepping
Amanda Pepping, a native of Albuquerque, New
Mexico, enjoys her multi-faceted career as a performer, arranger, and
educator. She has given recitals and
solo appearances throughout the United States and Europe. In the US, she has performed with groups including
the National Repertory Orchestra, the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, the
Phoenix Symphony, the Arizona Opera, and the Brass Band of Battle Creek,
Michigan. Amanda has been a featured soloist with numerous ensembles, both in
the US and abroad. Amanda had the honor of presenting a solo recital at the
2006 International Trumpet Guild Convention in New Jersey, where she performed
works from her first solo album, Amanda, which
is available through Summit Records.
She completed her Master’s and
Bachelor’s degrees in music performance at Arizona State University where she
studied with and served as a teaching assistant to Regents Professor David
Hickman. While in Phoenix, Amanda also served as adjunct trumpet
professor at Phoenix College and Mesa Community College. Following her time in Arizona, Amanda was a
Fulbright scholar, studying Baroque trumpet and repertoire with Dr. Edward
Tarr. She currently is pursuing a DMA at
the University of Texas in Austin with Ray Sasaki.
